Adidas Ultraboost 19: Made for Comfort!

Adidas updated its best-selling running shoe, the Ultraboost, with the 19th version, which first launched back in early December. It quickly sold out and then re-released in late February in a handful of new colors.

Adidas had the advantage over most other shoe companies with their Boost midsole, but they’re now drifting away from making the Ultraboost shoes a top-tier performer in favor of making it better for the general casual gym goer.

It’s a shoe for neutral runners, casual gym goers or people who just want a sneaker they can wear all day long. I wear these sneakers as my daily, The 20% added boost to this newer model makes them even more comfortable to wear all day. I also found the breathability of the prime-knit encourages airflow through the shoes as your wearing them.

Make no mistake, this is a road shoe. It lacks any protection from rocks and sticks. But it has a grippier outsole. There are small lugs underfoot, diamond-shaped with hard edges, which give you a little extra hold on slick surfaces and dirt roads. It’s made from durable Continental rubber, so it will be long-wearing.

These sneakers come in at a retail price of $180, they are on the pricier side, but it depends on what you’re looking for out of the shoe. I would recommend this shoe for those who are looking for a comfortable gym sneaker or for those that need a new all-day sneaker that won’t fatigue.
